I have always felt Twitter more like a passing wave than a technological evolution. This article tells us that 80% of Twitter users have less than 10 followers.Why so you may ask??
The reason is simple, if a person tweets 10 times a day and you are following 10 people. You are likely to read 100 tweets a day. If you are reading 100 tweets a day, you would like to have nice messages at least 10% of the messages. After sometime people will loose interest in you daily tweets. Its a matter of keeping the listener interested!
I feel Twitter should also act as a RSS reader. It will give users a single interfaces for all kind of updates (news, personal, professional). I kind of like the concept of Google Wave, a single source for all sorts of online communications.
Lets see how the competition heats up.
